Who We Are

At Vermont Audiology, our goal is to improve the lives of people with hearing loss through better hearing.  We are proud to have been entrusted with the hearing needs of Central Vermont since 2003.

We believe great care includes establishing great relationships with our patients. Treating hearing loss is an ongoing process that requires regular follow-ups, maintenance and cleanings to keep you hearing your best. Our staff is here to support you not only during your initial visit but throughout your entire journey to better hearing.

Marcia A. Dion, MS, CCC-A, FAAA

Audiologist

Marcia was born and raised in Central Vermont.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Science and Disorders from the University of Vermont in 1990 and her Master’s Degree in Audiology from Northeastern University in 1993.  She worked in several hospitals and clinics in the Boston area before moving back to Vermont in 1999 to take a position with the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center at a clinic located at the Central Vermont Hospital.  In 2003 she opened her practice, Vermont Audiology, and has since been proudly serving Central Vermont and its surrounding communities.

Marcia is Vermont licensed and nationally accredited by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.  She has worked as an advisor on several boards, including instituting the Universal Newborn Hearing Screening Program in Vermont as well as the Vermont Licensing Board.  She previously served as the clinical coordinator for the Special Olympics Healthy Hearing program, which is part of the Healthy Athletes initiative run by Special Olympics.

Angela Schenk, AuD, CCC-A

Doctor of Audiology

Angela was born and raised in Greenwood, IN.  She graduated from Purdue University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders and her Master's degree in Audiology from the University of Tennessee.  Working in Florida with an Ear, Nose and Throat group, she went back and earned her Doctor of Audiology from A.T. Still University in 2005.  After a few moves around the country working for private practices, Angela decided it was time to settle down and found her way to central Vermont and Vermont Audiology; joining Marcia in June 2025.  

Angela is Vermont licensed and nationally accredited by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Angela served as a clinical coordinator for Healthy Hearing with Special Olympics Florida and volunteered countless hours within the program, locally and state-wide.
